Qualifications

    Required

  • Current or recently graduated M.Tech. or Ph.D. students
  • Experience with commercial software (FLUENT, CFX, COMSOL) or equivalent

  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    Desired

  • Prior experience in managing an independent project
  • Research experience in heat transfer, mass transfer or fluid mechanics

Company Overview: Temperate Technologies provides farmers with access to decentralized post-harvest solutions such as cold rooms to increase the shelf life of fruits and vegetables, and in the process, increase their incomes. Our solutions consume up to 85% less energy than traditional refrigeration-based solutions and are especially suitable for farm gate installations. We provide solutions for short-term storage and transport of daily-use fruits and vegetables and long-term storage of onions.

Our solutions are based on a patented energy-efficient cooling technology. We are supported by BIRAC, DST, Tata Trusts, Citi Bank, DBS Bank, UNIDO, BEE and SELCO Foundation. We have also been recognized as the best Agri start-up by ICAR NAARM.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Prospecting & Lead Generation:
    • Identify, qualify, and prioritize sales leads through various channels (e.g., cold calling, networking, email campaigns, social media)
    • Conduct market research and identify potential customers within the target market
    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads
  2. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and potential customers
    • Proactively identify and address customer needs and concerns
    • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales cycle
  3. Negotiation & Contract Management:
    • Negotiate and close sales deals effectively
    • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution

Qualifications:

Education – Bachelor's degree in any stream.
Experience – At least 2 years of proven success in a sales role, preferably within the agriculture sector.

Compensation: We provide a competitive pay package according to experience and performance. The typical salary range for this position is 2.70-3.90 LPA depending on experience. We provide health insurance and stock grants to full-time employees.
